4 Mills Garden
Organisation name: The Turning Tides Project
Location: Crediton Devon
Type of project: I'm open to suggested ideas
Short summary: The Turning Tides Project is a Community Interest Company that aims to make equal access to music, the arts and life a reality for people with 'learning disability' and 'autism' labels . We'd like someone to design some interactive music/ sound installations made from upcycled rubbish, that we can build ourselves. You can find out more about us from our web site http://www.theturningtidesproject.org.uk/
What I am looking for: We've leased a strip of waste land that was completely overgrown with ivy and brambles - we're gradually reclaiming it and using it to grow cut flowers for sale, veg to use in our tea rooms , provide outdoor performance spaces and a lovely woodland walk. Music, being outside and tackling waste / litter issues are all a big part of who we are . We'd like the woodland walk to include some interactive installations and we'd like them to be made, by us, from rubbish - think giant wind chimes, junk xylophones, echo chambers, anything you like as long as its fun and multi sensory . A single idea or a set of linked installations is also fine. we'd love to see and hear your ideas.
