Dissertation category: Sustainability
Dissertation theme: Food Security. World-Systems Theory
Short summary: Draft: Have TT Cocoa growers and chocolatiers found a way of beating the World-System as described by Wallerstein (2011)?
Detailed summary: "Chocolate Tourism" may be the answer for cocoa co-operatives who choose not to compete in an unfair world trade and tax system. This study will use surveys to uncover how much consumers care about the origins and sustainability behind this movement, and document the stories of the co-operatives and communities behind this push for agency in Trinidad and Tobago with in depth narrative analysis.
